Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 20 January

Sales activity increased 16 per cent in Perth this week, with REIWA members reporting 493 transactions.
This increase can be attributed to a 20 per cent rise in house sales and a 23 per cent rise in unit sales,
despite a 26 per cent decline in vacant land sales. 
Listings for sale
There were 16,619 properties for sale in Perth at the end of this week, which is one per cent more than last week.
A closer look at listing stock levels shows house listings increased by one per cent, listings for units increased by one per cent and listings for vacant land increased by two per cent.
This week’s total listing figure is three per cent lower than four weeks ago and 10 per cent higher than levels seen a year ago.
Perth rental market
REIWA members reported there were 7,187 properties for rent in Perth at the end of this week, which is three per cent less than last week.
This week’s rental listings figure is three per cent higher than four weeks ago and 25 per cent lower than a year ago.
